Unlike most New Moons, which invite us to initiate and call in, this New Moon in Sagittarius is a Total Solar Eclipse with the South Node, which encourages us to release and shed global ideologies and karma that don’t belong to us so that we can open our spirits instead to global love and healing. It’s eclipse season! Many people I spoke with felt the intensity of the Full Moon lunar eclipse on November 19 for several days before and after. We are all awakening in our own way. Unlike “regular” New Moons, which have more initiatory or beginning energy, the total solar eclipse on December 3/4 tells us that it is time to clean up – a spiritual housecleaning, if you will. We don’t have to carry those old, global wounds anymore like smelly boxes stored in the garage of our being. But how do we let go of something that feels so ingrained in our ancestry in order to make room for all of the light that wants to come in instead?

The big event for this week is the Full Moon and partial Lunar Eclipse in Taurus on November 19 at 12:57a PST/3:57a EST/8:57a GMT. It may feel so intense that we feel paralyzed, as if we’re stuck in quicksand. However, because the Sun is in Scorpio with Mars and Mercury, we can transform that feeling of paralysis into purpose with a little pluck and a whole lotta forgiveness.
